Overview

The Corporate Supply Planner will be responsible for adding value to the Supply Chain team and plant network. The Planner is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team in analytics around demand, supply, inventories, as well as in depth analytical insight to measure and improve vendor service levels and relationships.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ability to analyze, extract, and present data to internal and external customers
  • Assist in contract reviews, RFPs and bid packages, analysis of results, negotiations, and other Supply Chain opportunities.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves daily issues as necessary or assigned.
  • Develops reports to effectively monitor plant and customer performances and makes recommendations for corrective action to positively impact costs and service
  • Leads frequent business meetings with plants to review performance and identify opportunities for addition value.
  • Determine plant/product inventory levels by SKU using statistical analysis and drive the need for inventory build/reduction and based on these levels determine dunnage required to execute plan and assist in managing dunnage allocation between plants on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with S&OP planners, demand planning and financial teams to determine if proper upside and necessary inventory builds are included
  • Work directly with Supply Chan Management on methods/processes that optimize plant efficiency and effectiveness
  • Review monthly plans with S&OP planners to insure appropriate inventory levels are targeted and optimal run cycles are planned at the day to day level
  • Conducts and supports multiple projects and other duties as assigned simultaneously
  • Ensures consistent and adequate plant, business unit and customer collaboration to maintain strategic alignment

Qualifications

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Demonstrated ability to comfortably and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. This means the ability to develop agendas, lead meetings as a facilitator, and document & publish critical results
  2. Persuasiveness – Utilize interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance. Must have the ability to persuade stakeholders internally and suppliers externally through strong relationships
  3. Demonstrated ability to easily interface with plant personnel, manage projects and drive cost and process improvement
  4. Analytical Skills – Must be able to relate & compare, securing relevant information and identifying key issues. This includes seeking and organizing information, and conducting relevant data analysis
  5. Financial & Qualitative Acumen – Demonstrate an understanding of the use, interpretation and impact of key quantitative and financial measures

Qualifications

  1. S/B.A degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field from a four-year accredited college or university
  2. Strong Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) and analytical skills
  3. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers
  4. Oracle, SAP, or other ERP understanding
  5. Willingness to travel on occasion (approximately 10%)

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
